Wendell is a giant, wiggly Dachshund—much bigger than most! While mini Dachshunds are about the size of a loaf of bread, Wendell is more like a squishy, furry watermelon!

Standard Dachshunds like him are rare in the U.S., but his mom came all the way from Europe. And when he was a puppy, a little white stripe popped up on his nose like a surprise sticker—poof!

Now he’s giant, fluffy, and full of energy! He loves playing with his sister Emily the Rat, getting belly rubs, running in the snow, cuddling with his family, and, of course, eating—because no Dachshund ever says no to food!

We love this book!!

I ordered this book for a family member who loves dogs. The story is amazing about overcoming feeling alone and finding that special someone that helps you believe in yourself. The illustrations are eye catching with nice colors. I will be ordering another one for my preschool children it has a great message.
